Teal/ leather Modded #2743 $13900 TX
WillyB93, thanks for posting!! :D This is my Cobra -- I was going to post it up here, but you beat me to it. I have it listed at $13,900, but would take (no less than) $12,500. Especially since I just had the following work done at Mike Murillo's less than a week ago: - Replaced engine mounts (Energ...

Poly vs rubber, etc.
Check out this thread from last April -- I did a lot of research & found a few good articles. Also had good input from some other guys here. I still haven't changed anything out, so I can't speak from experience yet, only what I've read:

#2743, Teal, Supercharged '93 up for sale
I'm posting #2743 up for sale to see if I get any interest. I say that because I wouldn't be heartbroken to keep it -- it's really fun to drive, & still gets plenty of looks. But, I'm also looking to get a Shelby Cobra replica, & "the boss" says I can only have one toy at a time......

Clearance
These were on the car when I purchased it (the chrome 8.5's), so I just swapped for the same size (silver). Originally, the only issue I had with these was that they'd rub the inside lip of the rear fender on bumpy roads (mine's also lowered a bit). I had those rolled, problem solved. The front tire...

1993 Style, 17 x 8.5 Chrome Wheels
I'm selling a used set of chrome 1993 Cobra style wheels. These are not stock, they're 8.5" wide (and chrome finish). I would rate the exterior finish 9 out of 10. Could even be 10 out of 10 with a little more polish & elbow grease. Never been curbed, that I can tell (they were on the car w...

red95gts, thanks -- sounds like I don't want to mess with the uppers, aside from possibly replacing the rubber bushings with OEM's. Sounds like a good lower includes poly bushings on the chassis end, with spherical bearings on the axle end. I dont race the car (auto-x or otherwise), I'm just really ...

Thanks for the info so far, this helps! After more digging, I also found a lot of good info on unitedstangs.com (I'll post below). Most interesting is the last paragraph about installing independent rear suspension (IRS) to '79+ stock suspension mounting points. Apparently a lot of folks go with pol...

Rear control arms, bushings
So I was just about to pull the trigger on a set of upper & lower control arms for my '93, when a bit more research inidicated that polyurethane bushings are NOT recommended for street use, only for the drag strip. Reason being, they don't allow for ANY flex in the rear end, which causes the sus...

Re: SVT Certificate
I've got an original SVT certificate for #4167 (stolen/stripped in 2000). I'd be happy to mail it to you, I don't have any need for it anymore... shoot me an email if interested, whoop@hotmail.com .
Thanks, Dave

Re: OEM wheels
Mark, thanks for your reply. I really want to stick with 8.5", so I'm not really looking for stock wheels. Mine's lowered and I've had the rear fenders rolled, so everything's tucked under nicely right now with no rubbing (with 245/45's). Thanks for your offer, but I'm really looking for anthri...

Trade chrome wheels for stock-style anthracite wheels..?
I have a set of aftermarket chrome 17x8.5 wheels that came with my '93. Picture at: http://home.roadrunner.com/~whoop/cobra/cobra6.jpg I prefer the stock look, but I want to stay with 8.5" width, so I'm still looking for aftermarket wheels, styled like the factory wheels. Picture at: http://aut...
