I bought a new '92 LX 5.0 around the end of '91. I really liked the car except for one thing, it had an AOD. I made a huge mistake of purchasing the car without having test driven the automatic as I'd only test driven 5-speeds up to that point. So, the AOD combined with 2.73 gears = slooooooo so I u...

Go here: http://www.powerdyne.com/fmu.htm Notice that the fmu for 24# injectors has a rate of 10:1 whereas the fmu for 19# injectors is 12:1. You really should call Powerdyne and ask them to be sure exactly what fmu you have. If you do actually have the 12:1 unit, all this means is you'll get even m...

If it has an FMU, you won't need bigger injectors. The kits are made to run on a completely stock engine. What I meant was...the FMU in the Cobra kit will have a different 'step-up' ratio because of the 24lb injectors compared to the 'step-up' ratio that would be in a stock 5.0 with 19lb injectors.

You'll only be able to bolt the flywheel on one way....i.e., if you look at the bolt pattern on the flywheel, you'll notice that the bolt holes are not all evenly spaced..the crank will have the same 'pattern'.

I'm on the list too...the only reason I haven't gone 5-lug and added 13" brakes is because I wanted to keep the stock look but go with wider wheels (and yeah, I know all about the Baer brake kit to put 13" brakes on our cars).

I ran 11.89s with a powerdyne :) ...granted, it had nothing left, but still, not bad for a <$2000 blower kit. Mark Just a side question... Since these kits are built for regular 5.0's, does the fact that Cobras come with a different pulley setup cause problems? They are actually setup for the Cobra...
