I know one product that's good for cleaning the
dead rubber off of tires... Simple green cuts right
through it. Wouldn't let it set on wheels or get on paint
though.

After the "dry look" wears off, what tire wet products do you guys suggest to blacken the side walls? Ive seen some product CAUSE the sidewalls to crack prematurely, so I'd like to avoid that. Have some Tire Wet in stock and also some Back to Black. Do you just keep cleaning the dead rubbe...

A local powder coat company did them. Made them double check the color match to whatJohnLynch wrote:^^they look great how did you do them?
they would have looked like new by looking under the center cap area. They came up
with a "Sparkle Silver" he called it.

so does anyone remember a blk on blk hardtop with chrome oems, a polished upper intake, blue silicone hoses, and off road exhaust that was for sale a few years ago? was in the south for the sale but owner said last owner was up north. was around 18,000 miles and guy had about 20k or so into it

if u do a brushed look like that and keep the factory length with a little closer tuck near the bumper they look almost stock again. that is what shiny chrome looks like when brushed with a red scotch brite pad. it looks strikingly like stainless Great job!!
