Thought about it but with wet sanding and al the prep that goes on it figured it might start to peal and then it would be my fault if it didn't look perfect. I know this guy, he's done a few complete paint jobs for me as we'll as some other smaller jobs. So far all have looked amazing but I still freak out every time I drop off a cardbrennancobra wrote:I wish you the best!jstanley55 wrote:Dropped mine off at the body shop yesterday to get the bumper cover and good resprayed. $1,200. There is one small ding in the hood from a golf ball (which is the only body work being done) and color checking so they are going to strip it down completely. Remove the bumper cover and grill insert (fix some scratches at the bottom of the bumper and fill the license plate holes). And obviously blend into the fenders... all trim (cowl, antenna, etc...) will be r&r'd.BlackONBlack wrote:If you don't mind me asking, what are you paying for the hood / bumper to be painted?

Already slapped the non-catted x pipe back on, brought it home from dmv and jacked it up, it's my little way of rebelling against Cali.jstanley55 wrote:So are you gonna slap the other h-pipe back on it or just leave it alone?RollTide93 wrote:Got #15 smogged & registered, meeting up with COBRAJR707 on sunday

Everyone used to do the same thing when I was in Illinois. Now we have no emmisions in Michigan or Illinois. When I was in Connecticut I kept the Cobra registered in Michigan just to not have to deal with all the emmisions bullshit! Not to mention the freaking car tax.

I thought so. I also had a quote from a local guy (where it is now is about 3 hours from me) at $850 but just didn't feel comfortable with it. YOu get what you pay for. Although, my old Suburban needs some paint work too but that's going to the lowest bidder as it just sits in my warehouse and gets driven by random employees. I laugh every time I hit 75 on the freeway in it and the clear on the hood start flying off...BlackONBlack wrote:Wow! Thanks for letting me know. My black Cobra could use the same treatment. That seems like a very fair price.

Sounds more badass with that x pipe huh...you get so used to it that with the h pipe its so darn quiet...at least it seems that way.RollTide93 wrote:Already slapped the non-catted x pipe back on, brought it home from dmv and jacked it up, it's my little way of rebelling against Cali.jstanley55 wrote:So are you gonna slap the other h-pipe back on it or just leave it alone?RollTide93 wrote:Got #15 smogged & registered, meeting up with COBRAJR707 on sunday
