Re: #15 needs some help!
Thanks J, turns out it needs a new posi kit. He said. The ring and pinion looks good and there is no metallic in the fluid. He also said the fluid was like tar and it hadn't been changed in a long time. Guess I should have done that, ha! The parts are costing about $200 for the posi kit so all in all pretty cheap, I just thank god it wasn't a new tranny or clutch setup

Good to hear it is a simple fix, never heard of a problem like this though. How often are you suppose to go in there and change that fluid out?RollTide93 wrote:Thanks J, turns out it needs a new posi kit. He said. Re: #15 needs some help!
Well after about an hour drive in #15 today it is fixed and runs very strong, no more vibration and feels a tad bit quicker. The guy showed me the old posi kit which is a series of what look like shims that go in the axle and the ones he pulled out were very scarred and the oil was completely black. He said the axle was trying to grab but just couldn't thus the vibration. Car seems very solid now and I feel much better and didnt cost very much which is also nice.

Re: #15 needs some help!
Nice, and an easy fix! I believe recommendedto change every 100,000 miles, or when you have massive vibrations...

1993 Black / Black Cobra #3929. V3 with a couple bolt-ons - 63,000 miles and counting....
