Anyone ever get a ticket in their 93' Cobra?

I might try but pretty hard to beat a radar ticket in calli.
And I might just pick up one of those radar detectors. Is that the best one for the price?

How much is the ticket? I would just pay it and try for traffic school, that is of course if you don't have one in the last 18 months

So had to drive to So Cal this morning and on the way through the garage I was like, f-it I'm taking the cobra. Bad call for my driving record! turns out the CHP used to drive a 93 CHP fox for Santa Barbara Highway Patrol. He ended up being a pretty cool guy and let me go with a fix it ticket. Radar'd me at 76 in a 60 so I was very pleased to get the fix it ticket.
He even let me get out and snap a quick pic!




And why does it seem I'm the only one that keeps this thread going? Apparently you guys drive your cobras too slow!

Great story ... with pics to prove it! And you're not the only one. Here's my post from the June 2013 Car/Member of the Month thread about the time I inadvertently tried to race a cop!

Well, I guess I jinxed myself with my last post! During a slightly overly enthusiastic cruise last night, I was approaching a black Dodge Charger that I decided to show off to. After blowing by the black Mopar, I was shocked to learn that our local police force is switching from their unmarked but easily recognizable Ford Crown Vics to unmarked Dodges when it rapidly pulled up behind me and its flashing lights came on.

Luckily for me, this story has a good ending. During my haste to hand the officer my paperwork and demonstrate my steadfast support for the men in blue, I handed him an FOP card that was several years out of date, forgetting that my up-to-date card was in my daily driver. When he returned, he informed me that my FOP card from 2010 was not having the desired effect but in the spirit of me being a local resident (I was pulled over less than 5 minutes from home) with a clean record, he gave me the "slow down next time" warning and sent me very happily on my way.

Had to chime in. Speeding 65 in fifty. Rolled stop sign. Head light out. About 5 for no front license plate. Inspection out, he asked if it was a real cobra. Registration out. There are two that never got the chance, one came real close but didn't see me in the garage. Got pulled over twice!!!! for no license plate light, warnings only, checked it both times later and it was working and did for years. I think it was a reason to pull over. Had the cop hit the lights and point at me but never made the turn. That's about it.

No, my marriage if I keep getting tickets
But really that damn right blinker turned yellow almost over night. Drives me nuts!!
