Stop by whenever you want, John. You're always welcome to check out my stable.
Chrome is shinier/brighter than polished & involves a chemical process. It has a more mirror like finish or sheen than a polished wheel.Fox9350 wrote:Guys what's the difference between polished and chromed?

That's exactly right, Willy. I was stoked to have her back that I didn't even see the driver getting out of the car while I was taking the pic. My focus was on the car. I was like a kid on Christmas morning.WillyB93 wrote:You was so excited to see it back you couldn't have waited for him to get out of the picture?escogt wrote:Ha!! That wasn't me. Ok and what's the difference between factory finish and polished? Is it very noticeable or subtle?

The factory finish is silver paint while a polished wheel is polished metal. The difference is quite noticeable.Fox9350 wrote:

Re: #59 Teal update...
Looks real nice man. Wish my Cobra was teal. Also, polished I feel is a lot more upkeep than a chrome wheel. I had a set of polished pony wheels on a 86 GT I used to own and they were a pain and had to re-polish them a lot cause they would oxidize. I was told that if you powder coat them clear it will keep that from doing that. But bottom line the finish will never be as good as a chrome wheel.

It coming along .. Installed X-pipe, new rack & pinion, new tie rod ends, new struts, shocks, front rotors and pads. While on lift got to inspect bottom of car and other components. Car has aluminum drives shaft and aftermarket Tremec transmission. Not sure which version of Tremec, need to get part nmbers off it.
Wish I could find set of 5 lug 93 cobra replicas, really want to go 5 lug and install cobra brakes.
