Glad you found the current owner. If he had it since '05, then he bought #1474 from me. I sold it to facilitate the purchase of my '04 Cobra. I bought the car in '03 from a guy up in Wisconsin. I think his name was Gary. Interestingly the car was all original except the heads. Someone had swapped out the GT 40 heads for some E7's. Everything else was stock. Danny Acevedo, from this board helped me put that car together. It was a strong car, and a lot of fun. Glad it went to a good home.

The short block was also toast. I built the top end, and the HP numbers were way low when I put it on the dyno. We did a leak down test and found the #8 was no good. When the short block was disassembled, the rings were toast. We dropped a new short block in it re-did the top end and the car was a beast!saleenmark wrote:I know the reason it had e7 heads on it but ill have to post when I have more time.

It had a vortech on it within the first six months he had it. Was on it for 3 yrs. it popped head gaskets and had a bad head. Couldn't find any at the time and both of us worked at ford. It had ported e7's cause it was best we could do. Was one of few that had vortech at time. Put like 40,000 miles on it like that. I was 15 when we went and looked at them new. Dealer had a few reds and teals. My dad hated the other colors and dealer found him a black one they traded for. I've worked on hundreds of cars over the years with my dad and that was the car that gave me the bug!

I don't know who or what happened to it when it sold. My dad sold it to dealer and took most parts off of it cause him and my mom went through a divorce. She sold the 94 cobra she had at the time too. I heard the 93 went to auction from dealer but who knows?
Re: I have warranty card and original bill of sale for 1474
If I remember correctly, it had about 54K miles on it when I bought it. Paint and interior on the car were top notch. I bought the car sight unseen, and had it shipped to El Paso. To be honest it was a real let down to discover that the heads had been replaced, so from that point I really didn't have any problems modding the car. I enjoyed the car. It was my daily driver and weekend warrior for about a year. I didn't care much for the sunroof, and I preferred black cloth interior, so I decided to move on from it after a while. Sold it and bought a new '04. I bought one more 93 Black/Black in '08 and sold it a few months later to buy a house. should have kept that one. Finally after about 5 years, I just bought my dream car. This will be my 5th 93, and hopefully the last. I hope you can get 1474 back, but if not it went to a good home. I have a ton of pics of 1474. If you want, shoot me your email and I'll be more than happy so share them with you.

How did you get the owners name. I bought #4310 new in December of 93. I ran the car fax on it and it's in Wheaton, Illinois. I would like to get in touch with current owner and at minimum see some current pics.

Congrats on getting the car back!! Just curious if it still has the AFR's on it and the Buddy Rawls cam? The car ran really strong for NA 302.

I kinda got lucky on finding the last owner. The car still has same motor setup as far as I can tell but the suspension is all different now. Cars was being used for road racing. Just got it all how I want it.
I'm trying to figure out how to post pics. Lol
