Throttle Body upgrade

Post by OLLETT »

I was wondering if anyone has had any issues with moving up to a 70mm throttle body. I'm asking this based on staying with the 24 lb. injectors. I've read that the TB size and inj. poundage were efficiently matched.

It's the Mass-air meter that's matched to the injectors. The TB can be swapped out for a 70mm, but depending on other mods, you may not see much of a power increase.

So you think with just basic bolt-on mods I might as well just stick with the 65 huh?

It will be fine, Im running an X-303 cam, Windsor Sr heads, and the stock tb is doing fine, although an upgrade for me would help. With basic bolt ons the stock induction is good enough.

Even with my supercharged , it ran fine with the 65mm.

I then switched to a 70mm and didn't notice a difference. It was when I switched to a 75mm (and a few other tweaks) I noticed a difference.
