Yep. Those stickers came on all 86-93 Mustangs. NPD has a lot of the other stickers for the car as well.

I remember those days with my '89 worrying about emissions testing. Don't miss that at all!

For as few miles as you guys put on your Cobras, it's a shame your states don't have an emissions-exempt category like New Jersey. It's great that it's not illegal for my Cobra to have an exhaust system meant for a muscle car, i.e. one w/o those power sapping and sound-deadening cats!

In MD we do have emissions exempt for cars that are over 20 calendar years... Brett have you checked into getting Historic plates?

I was a little nervous too. I installed a 160 thermostat and the car doesn't really warm up unless I stomp on it and run the gears out. :drive:

It did warm up it to about 190 degrees and passed the test, but the hydrocarbons were slightly higher then before. So, it seems the thermostat did have some effect on the test from not letting the car to full operating temperature.

Yup! I've been counting the days down since I bought the car.

Decided to enjoy the perfect weather tonight with a relaxing late evening cruise. As so often happens on these "cruises", I eventually got to a stoplight where the relaxing cruise turned into something more exciting. This evening's entertainment level was raised when I pulled up to a '12 BMW 335i. Within a moment or two, it was obvious what was going to happen when the light went green. I must've been a little too relaxed because that Bimmer took off like a bat out of hell (that car has surprisingly strong acceleration) and I didn't pass the guy until I had the tach needle in the yellow and was well past the posted speed limit. The look on the driver's face at the next light said it all - "How the hell did I get beat by a 20-year-old Mustang?!?"
