Are the anti-rattle clips that important on 93 Cobra rear disc brake calipers? I tried to replace the pads this weekend with aftermarket ones and cannot get them to fit with the rattle clips installed. I then tried to reinstall the old pads with the anti-rattle clips and could not get them back in also. The next step was to go to Napa and get a loaded caliper, the had them in stock and when I opened the boxes neither caliper had them installed, one caliper had a one anti rattle clip loose in the bag and nothing in the other box. The dude at the counter got a rebuild kit that had new clips; we tried for an hour and could not get them to fit. Anyone have any ideas? I think these are the same calipers used on T-Birds, Lincolns, etc…Is there any other calipers that would bolt up that are easier to replace the pads?

Not sure.... I had no problem with mine. I was able to get them back into place. You know that it takes a special spinner tool to get the caliper piston to squeeze(twist) back to make room for new thicker pads, right?
