5 lug conversion help

Hey guys, I was wondering if you guys could help me out with converting my car to five lug. There seems to be so little and conflicting information about our cars it's a little frustrating.
I've decided to convert my car to five lug and have some custom True Forged wheels made for the car. I looked at North Race Cars conversion kits and they want nearly 1000 bucks to convert the front and rear. Eek!
The idea is to try and get as much lip as possible in the rear. Has anyone done anything like this? I'm not trying to fit anything real big, I'm just thinking 17x8 in the front and 17x10's in the rear. Also, what is the stock backspacing the our stock Cobra wheels?
Can anyone help me figure this out?

I converted my 93 lx to 5 lug. I don't know about the rear as i ordered a 9" rear from currie with 5 lug axles, but the front I got 94/95 spindles and hubs, and got 03 cobra brakes for on them. I'm running 17x8 Pony R's up front and 17x10 pony r's in the rear. Heres a good link that helped me with converting mine and upgrading the brakes:

Everyone likes something different , but in my opinion the factory put the best looking wheels , on our cars as I have ever seen on a fox. although a close runner up would be the dark grey 10th ann. cobra wheel

First off, those Chcanes look NICE!
You've got a number of options to do this. What brakes are you planning to run front/rear? Since you are planning on doing custom wheels with custom backspacing, you can pretty much do whatever you want. However, to obtain the most "dish" on the rear with readily available parts, you're going to want to convert over to the standard "Fox" width rear end.

There are many different ways to go on a Fox five lug conversion. Your p'chops look to contain brake upgrades, so you are obviously thinking about that as well. I agree that the best way is to narrow the rear track width by going with stock Fox-length axles (left side Ranger or right side Aerostar or aftermarket) which will allow more dish in the wheels.
The least expensive way is to go with '94-'95 SN95 front spindles and brakes, and the 13" Cobra rotors and calipers will bolt on if you find GT or V6 spindles. '96 and later will widen the front track, stay away from those. For the rear, you can use any SN95 brake setup on the Ranger axles, with the North Race Cars relocator brackets, which bring the calipers in to the new position. Use the correct brackets for the brakes you use, the 11.65" '94-up Cobra rear brakes are not too hard to find.
'94-up Cobra front and rear brakes are light years ahead of the stockers, and if you go with them, no upgrades are necessary to the stock booster and master cylinder, just the addtion of an adjustable prop valve in the rear line if you get premature rear lockup. On the systems I have done, I haven't had it.
There are many aftermarket solutions available, but they are expensive as you have found out.
