Your hoses aren't pushed all the way onto the tee, they should go to the ridge. Try some silicone spray if they won't push on any further.

Now that everything is hooked up I am getting a surge and gets worse when the AC is turned on. I went and got silicon spray (Thanks for the tip!) and now the hoses are all butted up on the T. I will try to run it again tomorrow to see if that fixes it. I am still trying to figure why the fitting under the intake was capped and the car ran great how it was.

A PCV valve is really a calibrated vacuum leak. The engine is designed to run with so much vacuum loss, but it sounds like you have too much. It could be two things: The wrong PCV valve; they are sold in different calibrations and you might try one that has more resistance (harder to suck air through). Or, the engine could have cracked vacuum hoses beneath the intake which are leaking, and don't overlook the small plastic hoses from the tree in the right rear of the engine compartment. Also inspect the hose to the charcoal canister purge valve. You may have to remove the upper plenum to gain access to these hoses, but it's not a bad job to do. It sounds to me like the car was running rough due to a vacuum leak, probably from a cracked hose, so the previous owner performed a dubious repair to make it run smoothly in order to sell it.93SATX wrote:Now that everything is hooked up I am getting a surge and gets worse when the AC is turned on. How far have you driven it since the repair? Maybe it need to readjust?
Re: New Cobra owner and need help!
I will check the lines tomorrow and I purchased the Valve from Napa which they show three different kind for the 93 Cobra:

I did not drive the car for long. If the weather is clear I will drive it after work to see if things are better.
Thanks again guys!

Try disconnecting the battery for 20+ mins to clear the adaptive learning in the EEC. Assuming that you had a vacuum leak, the EEC would have tried to compensate by dumping more fuel in. Now that you've fixed the leak, your mixture is too rich, but the ECC takes some time to adapt for it. You can speed the process up by removing power from the EEC and letting it reset back to factory defaults.
Good Luck!

Exactly only he had the reverse, no vacuum leaks and now has a controlled leak.
Re: New Cobra owner and need help!
Update:
I ran the car for only a few mins but seems everything is running great now. I turned on the AC and no surges. I will take it out later during the week to see how it does on a longer drive.
Thanks again for all the help!
