Reviving this thread. Nobody answered the question about the 1993 cobra Speedo drive gear tooth count. Did the cobra's come with 7 or 8T drive gear? Late Model Resto states the 1983-1989 cars came with 7T and the 1990-1995 came with 8T drive gears. It also states that the Ford Racing M-7003-Z World Class T-5 which I assume is very similar to the trans in our cars used the 7T. Anyone toss me a bone (someone who actually has disassembled their cobra t-5 trans) so I don't have to take apart my trans to find out. Thanks

I think they came with 8 on one gear and 20 on the other.
