vortech v3 sci crank pulley doesn't fit?

For those that have installed vortech v3 kits... did the crank pulley fit with the vortech supplied one? They told me it would, but it isn't even close! It is way too wide to fit in the stock pulley. What did you do to install your kit?

Well might have possibly solved the problem... I got pulley p/n 4fa116-011 and the instructions call for p/n 4fa016-011. They are both for mustangs, but maybe the diameter of this one is larger?

The more I read online it seems that people use a stock lx/gt crank pulley to make it work, or buy a one piece pulley. What will the outcome be if I use a stock crank pulley? Will the alternator even charge lol. Will it underdrive the accessories too much?

Alternator pulley is the same on cobra as gt ,lx so it should charge just fine.

You could always do a 3g alternator upgrade also, especially if your running a bunch of electronics.

Alternator pulley is the same on cobra as gt ,lx so it should charge just fine.

Seems to do fine so far. I deleted the radio and hardly drive it at night, so I don't have much in the way of electronics.

Had to order a new radiator as well... once I drained it and looked inside it was getting pretty clogged up and the reservoir tank needed a real good cleaning! Surprisingly though the car was running just fine.

Fmu recal kit came in today and is installed! Radiator comes tomorrow and belt friday... just hope the belt fits!
