Whatcha think?
I bought my car from the original owner and this battery was in it upon purchase from him. How old is this battery? Is it the original?

Re: Whatcha think?
They normally stamp numbers around the sticker, or on the case of the battery. I don't see numbers on the sticker, is there any others on there?

What about those characters stamped into the case top by the negative terminal post? I didn't see any other identifying marks on the case.WillyB93 wrote:They normally stamp numbers around the sticker, or on the case of the battery. I don't see numbers on the sticker, is there any others on there?

the "A13" is probably the the date i would guess January, 1st 1993, 2003, or 2013? someone in the ford dealer parts department might know for sure.

If you can take it to a Ford dealership, they should be able to tell. I had the same questions around mine, and if I recall correctly... they had to determine who the original manufacturer was (Motor craft is just the label ford puts on it). I think there were two or three different companies over the years and based on that they should be able to take those marks and tie it to a year.
