Cheapest way to fix that is to do it yourself.

I had that on my car at 99K, it was the rear main but also the oil pan gasket was leaking more than the main (Ford used paper thin gasket) Pulled the motor and replaced them both (new Ford one piece oil pan gasket) along with new oil pump for good measure and clutch. Did a complete eng. bay and underside wash down as well. Nice & clean with no leaks or drips

The cost isn't an issue, it's just a PITA.

I think he is talking about having a shop fix it in which case cost will be an issue.

just make sure the crank doesnt have a groove worn in it from the seal, if it does you may want to get the repair sleeve . the sleave is a very thin metal ring that you tap onto the crank to give the new seal a new smooth surface to seal against. and while you got the trans out, its a good time to check the clutch and throw out bearing.
