1993 Cobra Registry

As some of you know, I am trying to fix a mess created by a "mechanic" that left me stranded. I've got a few miscellaneous bolts I can't figure out, but I have this bracket as well. Anyone have any ideas on this? What is it and where does it go? I've driven the car without it, so it must not be too crucial, but I just want to make sure I get it back where it is supposed to go...

Looks like a bracket that goes behind a bell housing bolt that a wiring harness would clip onto to keep the wire from falling down and hitting exhaust or whatever. The single hole on left for the bolt and double hole for the clip

That might explain the burning plastic smell then...LOL
