1993 Cobra Registry

Anybody running 275/40/17's on their stock back wheels? Thinking about running more width in the rear and wanted to know how they would work on the Cobra's 17x17.5 wheels. At the moment I'm running the stock 245/45/17 all the way around.

They are too pinched in, they distort the tire, which affects contact patch, gives wonky handling as the tire squirms around, and look funny. Your best best is to run the aftermarket repro wheels on the back, which are 8.5", and can accommodate the 275/40S.

Thanks for the suggestion. Have a good pair of 275's sitting around and thought about putting them on to fill out the rear more. I may look into the wheels eventually for sure. Thanks again!

Next to 315/35r17 Nitto's on 10.5" cobra rims.

They will work, but be advised some tires run wider than other tires. Nitto drags run narrow (have them on the rear on stock rims). I've seen other brands that looked OK as well.

The above pic with the drags on the repro wheel is SICK!

What company did you use to widen your wheels? If you don't mind me asking, what did they charge?
