Oil pressure gauge

Oil pressure gauge sits at quarter mark when at idel,when driving it sits at half way mark has anyone had this problem? Don't know if it pump r sending unit

I know when my oil pressure sending unit went out, my pressure was all the way at the bottom. Freaked me out and thank God it was the opsu. I know the factory gauges are not always accurate....

They are pretty reasonable form the local parts stores might be worth while to change it and see.

I wouldn't sweat it. I'm guessing it sits a bit higher when it's still cold, and works it's way down once the oil is up to temp. Besides, these little 302's can run pretty loose for a long time.
