Possibly switching gears

my car has 3.73 gears and thinking about changing them out, thinking about going back to stock 3.08 or 3.27's, drive it around town a lot and not a fan of the 3.73's, don't drag race car or get in it a lot, any suggestions or comments? previous owner installed gears and while its fun for a minute the shifting to 4th gear at 35-40 mph is getting old

3.08's are nice but I find the hard part with them are in town cruising at 30 to 40 mph, that in between 4th and 5th gear all the time. Maybe a 3.27 would stop that in my situation, I don't think I am going to change mine. Really depends what you are looking for, 3.73's are over kill for town though, maybe a little better fuel mileage if dropping to a 3.27.
