Headlights and fog lights not working
Ok guys, so my headlights and fogs stopped from coming on. When I switch the toggle the cluster comes on and then parking lights come on, but then the third switch the headlights don't come on. Nor do the fogs. Any idea?

It's usually a bad switch. Tons of threads everywhere on this issue and more times than not, it's the switch.

Tried a new headlight/fog switch didn't fix. But the muilti switch when I put high beams on it works... You think it could be the muiltifunction console switch?

Re: Headlights and fog lights not working
As previously noted, malfunction or intermittent operation of the 87-93 fog lights, headlights or both is due to the factory circuitry. It's a very well known issue that plagued the 87-93 GT's and Cobras. There was an old Ford TSB on the subject - never a recall.
While some original owners as well as secondary+ owners may have never experienced a failure, it could be because those owners do not daily drive the vehicle OR they don't use the fog lights as heavily as other 87-93 owners. The failure was more prevalent in vehicles where the fogs were used every time the headlights were used.
When the fogs were used excessively, eventually the multi-function switch fails. There is a plastic slider within the MF switch. That slider makes the connection for High, Low and Flash to Pass. Due to the factory circuitry not being able to handle the load of the headlights AND the fog lights being on for extended periods of time, the slider eventually melts.
Besides damage to the MF switch, this also can happen (please view this thread to see other damage that can occur). In severe cases, this can be a safety/fire hazard:

I would recommend any 87-93 GT/Cobra owner to thoroughly check the wiring and connector as noted and seen in the 1st link above. After checking the wiring and connector, replace the MF switch AND follow the steps in this 2nd link below:
http://www.corral.net/tech/maintenance/foglights.html
Failing to fix or ignoring the problem by rewiring can result in another MF switch failure in the future and/or possible other harness/connector damages as seen in 1st link.
Hope that info helped you and others who may run into this issue in the future.
