MAF sensor

Can anyone tell me which is the right sensor for the 1993 Cobra? I'm chasing some codes and wonder if I have the wrong sensor. I have 1FZF-12B579-AA (AFH55-03B) and a buddy of mine has 1FSF-12B579-AA (AFH70-02) installed in his 93 Cobra. The AFH70 versus AFH55 makes me think I have the wrong one. By the way, I have the same sensor in both my GT and Cobra.

Your Cobra definitely has the wrong one as the flow sensor diameter for the GT was 55mm and 70mm for the Cobra. However, your friend's sensor part number is different from technical specs that I have for the '93 Cobra. Not saying his part is incorrect, just has a different number stamped on it (maybe a later replacement part?). The MAF sensor part# I have for the '93 Cobra is F1SZ-12B579-A.

Thanks Z. When I look online I see the three part numbers used interchangeably when looking for a replacement. Does anyone know where I can find one for the Cobra?

More importantly, lets see a pic down the entrance to the MAF and make sure someone hasn't swapped electronics on the housing. Also, you need to confirm your car isn't chipped.

It has the 70mm meter. I confirmed the post down the center of the meter. I may tear the computer out to look at it.

Just pull the access panel. A chip will be piggybacked on outside of it. No need to pull the EEC all the way out.
