This car has certainly come a long way! Back when our Cobras were Ford's most powerful Mustang, who would've thought you would be able to get one with nearly 670hp from the factory? What do you think the 2033 Mustang will be like?

It's a lot on cash for sure, but I think it really comes down to a lot of cash for ONE car. I'd rather have multiple toys for kinda jack.

Yeah I mean you talking putting $30k cash down to get a decent payment imo, in todays market I can think of a bunch of other places to put that kinda cash besides tying it up in a depreciating assest

It's not the cash outlay for me, it's the depreciation and not being the coolest guy on the block. That's what keeps me from buying this car. I remember in 2003 when I drooled over the Terminator. Now it's terminated. Every year the next car will be better... but at some point it's going to hit a limit, for whatever reason.

These cars seem to retain their value somewhat. Even if you lost $10,000 over 2 years, that's $416/month to drive it. Not too bad. My wife says get one if I want, but I'm too much of a chicken to sign up for the payments as I like to own what I drive. Big car payments are for the wanna-be crowd.

That said, the reviews are crazy. I do want one. But in 2 years, after $10,000, will it still be as cool? Oh well, just my 2 cents...

Amen brother. My wife always ask me why I like old cars and not new ones. My reply is the old car is either stable or going up in value and the new car will be going down in value for the next 20 years. Of course if the right deal popped up and I could buy a GT500 and own it for 2 years for free I'd jump on it. It just has to be cheap enough. The problem with new cars is banks will loan money on them and you have to compete with the "I can make the payment" crowd. Them bastards are always keeping prices up lol.
