I hate to say I told you so, If you want a NOS pump, you will pay top dollar. I have a few, but dont want to sell.
Also, you may have good luck at NAPA with a reman pump. Most of there re-man pumps are original ford housings. May be the same with autozone, all I can say is check it out.
I was not a fan of that Ford sticker, made in China!!

Actually I was hoping it wasnt made in China, I dont want to give those commies any of my money. I just wish someone would start making American parts in America.
I called to the local autozone and they have one made by some brand calld Tuff something or other.
I might give these guys a call in NY and see how much to rebuild the original.
NoSloCoupe wrote:Why wouldn't you just buy a part like this local?
I basically paid an extra $10 because Ford put it in a FORD Racing box!! I just think thats a bunch of sh%$.
Its advertised as a FORD stamped part so they are letting me return it free of charge. My point is if I knew it was just from china anyways I could have went down to autozone and bought one for $34 same day I needed it instead of waiting 4 days for this crap to get here.
u feel me bro?
The guy at american muscle told me half of my 93 Cobra was made in China but I begged to differ.....sorry for being a patriot

I called them good lead thanks, they said 2 day turnaround and $85......
Now before I take off this water pump is there a way to know for sure it is leaking? When I had my rear main seal repaired the Mechanic told me it was but I dont see any water on the ground.....
Most the time they leak from the backing plate bolted to it sandwhiched between the front cover and pump. Or they leak from the weap hole just below where the pulley bolts on.
In this tread it shows the backing plate mounted to the back of the water pump, notice the two bolts on the bottom. http://forums.corral.net/forums/5-0-5-8 ... -93-a.html

Should I be seeing water on the ground in the garage?
Get small mirror on a telescoping handle and look at the bottom side and see if the weep hole is damp or dripping.look at the plate while your looking.

Depends on how bad it is leaking, you might see it on the K frame or the rack and pinion if slightly leaking.
