WHAT IS RF-F3ZE-9425-CB

F3ZE-9425-CB is the part number for the revised upper intake that was fitted to cars somewhere around build #500. The CB intake has the ridge cast into the drivers side of the plenum, CA does not have the ridge.

my car was born 5/5/93 is there a way to know which one came with my car or is one better then the other.

The switch from the early "smooth'" intakes to the later "ridge" intakes occurred around build number 555 on 2/19/93. Your car definitely came with the ridge intake. The engine made the same horsepower/torque regardless of which intake was installed.

thanks alot that cleared that up the other thing that im dealing with is I want to use the correct block. Is it any 1987-1993 xxx block the same as the 1993 cobra or does ti have to be the year 1993 to be correct and if so whats the 93 code to look for on the block and where.Thanks so much

All 5 liter Mustangs built between 1986-1993 use the same block (part# E6SE-6010-DC). The cars VIN will be stamped on a cast-in pad at the top of the bell housing area (highlighted inside the red rectangle in the pic below).
