Hey guys I have an Opal Headliner that came out of a 1993 Cobra with 1200 miles. I have had this lying around for the last 3 years now and decided to part with it. Its for a non-sunroof car. This is as close to NOS as you will get. I just need to take it out of the box and make sure its still still in perfect condition. I have quite a few more parts from the same car I will be listing for sale. I wanted to give you guys the first crack at them. Please PM me or e-mail me at
ajperformancemachine@yahoo.com Located in IL. Looking for $285 obo

I had the front & rear seats, and they sold for $2600. I appreciate your opinion on the headliner. I'll remember that when you are trying to sell something!

Maybe you should have sold the headliner to the same guy that bought the seats, LOL. I was just giving you my opinion man, no need to start a war. We are a tight nit Family here. I always try to help people out when I can. YOu can still get the NOS Material, for about $80 Bucks, a can of Contact Spray for $20 That doesn't = $285, Plus the price of shipping.

Aaron, not trying to start a war, but i would of respected you more if you would of PMed me about this instead of makeing me look like a bad guy, trying to screw somebody on the headliner. Its just a starting price, and if people would of offered me lower, I probably would sell it. Now that you've informed me and everyone on how much it costs to redo one, I won't be insulted when someone offers me $80 for it. The comment about how I should of sold it to the guy who bought the seats LOL, why? You made your point already. You just have to realize not everybody is as smart as you are!

They sold on E-Bay about 3 years ago to a guy in Arizona. If I can get a copy of the auction, I will post it on here so everyone can see. It just suprises me the odasity people have to call someone out when they don't even know them. I would never do that to anyone on any forum. Maybe it's because I'm new here and nobody knows me. LOL

I think the main thing is that on a make/model specific forum such as this one, people like to see an enthusiast-to-enthusiast price on parts, and not a full-on "I saw one go for this much on ebay once" price.
And ebay is a very inconsistent place. I believe those seats sold for that, but I also believe that it was lucky timing, and that if they were listed a month earlier or later, they may have gone for a much lower price. It's not a reliable gauge for the market price on parts.

Mike I agree with you 100 percent. The truth is, I did not know what they go for or know what it's worth. I was hoping for some constructive criticism instead of sarcasm. I apologize to everyone for my ignorance and hope we can move on.

I remember the seats when they sold, there is a post on svtperf. about them, and as I remember they looked like they were fresh off the showroom floor! Try finding seats like that. I have two cars that could use new seats and have looked at about 10 sets for sale and they all look like crap, worn out on the edge, cracked, stains, tears and more. And its hard to find someone who make a new set that look right, most of the leather you get is a lot softer of the wrong color. If I had the money I would have bought them as someone else did. Now the only difference on a headliner is that tey can be reproduced to look good, and with age, not mileage the headliner backing breaks down. unless it has been stored in a controled enviroment it could go bad at anytime. He posted a asking price of 285, and gave us the first chance at it, if you need it make him a counter offer, he might take it , he might not. But dont call him a liar or talk crap about him! Just be glad someone came here to offer you some original parts. If you treat everyone with something for sale like this , guees what? their not going to come on here anymore.

Joe (SCT93COBRA) is a stand up guy. I've known him for a long time and purchased parts from him. Its always great seeing original parts offered here in the forums vs. battling it out on ebay for them. If it hadnt been for a few good mustang buddies (like Joe) I wouldnt have been able to locate the parts I've needed for my 93 Cobra project car.
