they are still available from ford, most dealers can get next day.

Yes, But they are quite pricy, around $53 each. I haven't seen OEM Metal ones in a long time though.

If you are talking about outside handles , the 92 and older rangers had metal handles , maybe you can "ranger" to your eBay searches.
