That bad ass. Keep me in mind if you ever trip, bump your head, and decide to sell it. I got my 93 in the Hospital and definatly needs a donor. I won't be back from Hawaii intill Oct 08, so there is no hurry. Just getting the word out. Maybe 08 Tax returns I'll be ready to buy one. Thanks 306

I actually considered selling my NOM 302 out of my Cobra in place of a 347, I figured since it was an R title, It wouldn't make much difference. I wouldn;t even know what it is worth

Whats a NOM? And what do you mean by R title?

NOM Number's matching motor...Here in Pennsylvania, if a car is a theft recovery such as mine was, or total loss by the insurance company, the car is branded with an R title. It's a pain in the ass bringng a car into PA with an R title from another state, it has to go through a lengthy inspection process before you can register it here in PA. Thie one was a MD R title and came into PA, got the inspection, and it now a legal registered car. Carfax says it was hit in the front but the VIN tags are still on the fenders, and the core support doesn't look like it was touched. I actually tried to sell the car a few weeks back with no takers at $6500, I figured it didn't sell, so I would just drop a 347 in it and enjoy it.

What are the numbers that match on a 93 Cobra?

I have the matching numbers with my block. It's right on the front. That matchs the vin right? Anyways, I'm tracking now on the R thing. My car is originally from MD.

I didn't think FoMoCo matched numbers on the engine to the VIN in any recent years ... I recall that back in the days of the 289 HiPo 271 hp engine, the vin was on the block (it was on my 66 GT-350), but other than that??? I know it's a GM thing, but I didn't think Ford did the same. Or am I flat wrong?

all engine have the vin or at least a partial vin unless it is a replacment block. look on the flat part of the block at the rear behind the intake / pcv valve facing up there will be the last of your vin#. This is required by federal auto theft laws and it helps with warranty issues for the manufacturer.

Yes Ford blocks have a series of the vin# stamped into them.

SVT3565 your car is not an R title, R titles are only issued to Salvage or Total loss vehicles. You car hasn't been wrecked heck it's 95% original paint. I would probably just use your #'s matching block and do a rebuild. YOu can find intakes and original heads on Ebay most of the time. The most inportant part you already have your #'s matching block.

Hey whats up brandon? I didn't say I had an R. Aguy mentioned it and I asked him what it was. Thats funny it happened to be up in MD where my car is from. Whats the odds. I got my Cert. from SVT, now I need to get a hold of that guy on SVT Performance to get my window sticker. I also asked this website moderator to post all the pics you had of mine. They can see her reborn again. My buddy told me he seen you somewhere down in Mississippi or somewhere down south. But he is from WI as well. I hope he registered his 93 red cobra. Talk to you later.
