My Mustang literature did not have Cobra R engine oil cooler part#s. The R-cars oil-to-air cooler was custom manufactured by a company called Hayden. You need these parts for an R or adding to a standard Cobra?

doesnt the R use the same oil cooler as a 94-95 regular cobra and a 93-95 lghtning? i have one from a 95 cobra , it mounts to the filter pad then the filter screws onto the cooler.

Careful, fst. This may be a bigger project than you expect. It's very likely that the oil cooler set-up from a 94-95 Cobra or a 93-95 Lightning is not the same as the one in the 93R and will be a tough fit. In the 93R oil cooler set-up, the hoses were connected from the adapter plate at the oil filter/engine block to the auxiliary oil cooler, which was mounted between the front bumper fascia inlet and the front of the radiator. Due to the limited space available between the radiator and the bumper fascia in the Fox Mustang set-up, the 93R front fascia support was completely revised from the standard Cobra bumper support set-up in order for the oil cooler assembly to fit.

If it's like these, probably the same as a SSP car. Might look on these forums http://www.specialservicemustang.net/forums/

So the one pictured above would be for an ssp car ? The one for the cobra r goes through a cooler which was separate? Which was mounted behind the front bumper if I'm reading this correct ?

i looked in the SVT Recognition guide and it shows part numbers for the oil filter adapter, filter, lines, external cooler, and brackets. So the one pictured above is 93-95lightning, and 94-95 cobra.

In other words, not the same oil cooler set-up in the 93R.

I was saying it may be the same as an SSP car, that was a standard feature on them.
