I thought about fixing it up right,,, it would not cost too much. But then I'd probably want to keep it after that. Or maybe I'd relist it for more.

I ran a Paxton Novi 1000 for a few months but couldn't pass the strict California smog test so I took it off. The Novi 1000 is an entry-level centrifugal belt-driven supercharger that produces 5 psi of boost. That's an increase of about 70 hp. It's a bolt-on kit and can be installed or removed in about 4 - 5 hours.
I indicated in the posting that the buyer can have the Novi kit. It should fetch about $800 because it's barely used.

thanks, I had no idea it was a supercharger...shows you how much I know about some of these modern performance upgrades. I just drove a good friend's car that is a super charged Audi S5, man that thing really scoots. The only supercharge car that I've driven in a Ford was the early Ford SHO's, but, I'm assuming thats old technology compared to the new stuff. I was always a little scared of that motor holding up with all of the additional pressure loads in the cylinders, but, I guess it did fine over time. thanks for the clarification.

Are you thinking of a the older Super Coupe T-birds? They were supercharged.93cobraVA wrote:thanks, I had no idea it was a supercharger...shows you how much I know about some of these modern performance upgrades. The early SHO's had a Yamaha, multi-valve six cylinder in them.
Anyway, these cars do well with a little added boost too them. You can actually squeeze more out of the Novi 1000 if need be, like any other blower.

Yeah. I remember the old SHO. It was basically a hot-rodded Taurus, and it was front wheel drive. Extra power came via a high-revving 6-cylinder engine. The Thunderbird SC had a supercharger atop a 6-cylinder.

Hi Mystic195,
It was a pleasure meeting with you. I'm glad I was able to show the car to a fellow forum member. I think you'll agree that this is a true low mileage car.
