$32k for a 160k? Man that's rough, R or notaaronlstiles wrote:I been on the phone with him a few times, he is out of his mind, I made what I thought was a good offer, he said he has to have 32K and it is part of an estate sale. I told him at that price, them another 15K for a restoration, you still only have a 160K mile 93R and that is all that really matters at this time in life, now 30 years from now, no one will care, but right now the only questions asked is about miles.

I tried to explain that to him, he still thinks the 93R market is high, I also let him know about the one that sold for 34K he said what a steal, I think it was a good buy, but with the condition his is in, he needs to realize it is more of a 22K to 23K price car, it will need a total restoration. Plus it has has a door and a quarter panel replaced. So at best the car is a driver, restored or not.
I had the same interaction on the phone, good luck to him.aaronlstiles wrote:I tried to explain that to him, he still thinks the 93R market is high, I also let him know about the one that sold for 34K he said what a steal, I think it was a good buy, but with the condition his is in, he needs to realize it is more of a 22K to 23K price car, it will need a total restoration. A wrapper 95R in low 20's??
A 100 mile 95R did 33k at mecum and a 900 mile car sold for 28 k privately.
They still have some value.
His car has like 6k miles if I remember correctly.

I honestly don't follow prices on the R models very closely so no clue whether that's a good deal or not. The 95 looks like a wrapper but the 93 has been raced, so the price could cover a pretty wide range depending on condition, I suppose.
