Please read carefully

I am selling a 1993 Cobra. Yes it's real. Yes it has 37,xxx original miles. The car is in great shape considering its 20 years old.

The engine currently is losing oil pressure at idle. If you touch the gas it resumes to normal. There is no noises internally. I was driving as usual and came to a stop and oil pressure dropped at idle. I went to pull out of traffic and the oil pressure went back up. Had the vehicle towed home and it's been sitting since. I am moving soon and do not have the time to diagnose or fix this problem. Worst case scenario the block is cracked. Best case the oil pump pickup is loose, cracked, or the relief valve is broke. I've read multiple cases of cracked blocks, bad oil pumps, and broken pickups. Like I said the car runs fine and is making no unusual noises.

With that I am selling at a serious discount. There is over 25k in bolt on parts on this car. If you know these cars then you know that a 93 cobra with 37k on the odometer is worth more in stock form than with all the mods. The car in complete stock trim should bring more money than the asking price. Two options to do this correctly or the right way. Either way you need to pull the engine. (Which is what I do not have the time to do) and check for a cracked block. If it's something simple like a oil pump or pickup then you got lucky. Block cracked then you could replace with another block such as a dart ect and have a bullet proof 600 horsepower car. Or you could sell off all the bolt on's for around $9,000 estimated fire sale realistic used prices and return to stock. If your not going to do this yourself then just go buy another car honestly.

Bolt on's include

347 stroker. The motor has around 5,000 miles on it.
The motor is a DSS prepped Ford motorsport sportsman block.
The 347 is an eagle forged kit.
D1SC polished procharger stage 2 15 psi 12 rib pulley and 10 psi 12 rib included
Edlebrock performer aluminum heads
roller rockers
comp cam
holley system max 2 upper and lower intake
holley throttle body
holley egr spacer
msd 6al ignition
pro flow maf
373 gears
Afco aluminum radiator
aluminum flywheel
aluminum drive shaft
sub frame connectors
tremec tko 500 5 speed
hurst comp plus shifter
king cobra clutch
long tube headers
h pipe
flowmasters 3 chamber (Car sounds great but not too loud)
aeromotive 5.0 eliminater fuel system
siemens 60lb injectors
complete UPR suspension front to rear. k member, coil over, upper/lower adj contol arms. sway bar. a arms
moser axle 35 spline with control unit
7 qt oil pan

And many other things that I'm missing.

I'm losing my ass on this. I don't want to sell but am moving soon and do not have the time to work on this. If you do the math on the bolt on's you'll see that I'm taking a serious loss on this. Don't waste your time or mine with ridiculous offers or trades. I'm looking for $12,500 and that's it.

EMAIL ME AND THAT'S IT. EMAILS THAT ASK IF I STILL HAVE THE CAR WILL BE IGNORED SO SCAMMERS DON'T BOTHER. When you email me include your number and I'd be more than happy to talk with you about the car and schedule time for you to look at it.

That's also how a bad oil pressure sending unit will behave....

Yup. Happened on my black car exactly as described above. You'd think he would have checked that though...so simple.

My kind of project. Too bad I don't have the time or room for another car. If the thing isn't thumping on the bottom end or clattering on the top, could be a relatively easy fix.

I had the same problem on mine and it was the oil sending unit also. I think that's a common problem.

I spoke with the owner of this one a few weeks ago. It's not a sending unit issue. He put a manual gauge on it and the oil pressure still drops to below 5 pounds at idle.

seen the manual gauges in the dash , could possibly still be the gauge, bearings, oil pump spring, wonder if he is telling the whole story? he is the seller so doubtful... might of had it at 10k when it lost pressure...
