I owned this car from 46k-59k, very clean car. Can't say what has happened since I sold it, but that was in 2005.

congrats on your purchase! I loved that car, part of me wishes I could have bought it back. I personally installed the exhaust system and headers, as when I bought it it had already had a catback. feel free to PM me with any questions. the person I sold it to sold it to the person you bought it from....are you local?

Its no longer a Massachusetts car lol. Still close though, as I live in the Danbury area of Connecticut.

Plan's for right now is just a once over before registering it. All new hose's, 180* Thermostat, fuel filter, plugs, oil change ect... I don't understand why it has a new computer with a chip though? So I'll be putting the stock computer back in. Doesn't need much really.
Future plans though will be an Anderson PMS over the winter, so I can learn the basics of tuning on a stock fox, and then going to put either a Hellion or Pony Down turbo kit on it. Switch over to a 6 Speed when the stock clutch can't hold the power and eventually go 5 Lug. Undecided on the 5 Lug though, I would really love to rock Chrome 93's, but don't want to buy rims twice lol.
My mod plans were really the only reason I didn't buy a showroom low mileage stocker. I wouldn't have been able to tear into something like that. Not saying mine isn't clean though.

Sounds like a fun ride for those twisty roads around Candlewood Lake.

I had put the A9L processor in it with a c&l mass air meter tube. The thinking at the time (in my younger days, about 24ish) and also much dissused on forums at the time was that the a9l out of a regular 5.0 was a performance upgrade over the "lazy" X3Z processor. the factory PCM should still be with the car, in addition to stock h-pipe, headers, MAF, etc. if someone put a chip in it, that was after I owned it. agreed on tearing into it. that one IMO is almost too nice to mod. I tried to keep the mods clean/tasteful. I put those wires on it as well, and probably a coil. I still have all the reciepts somewhere for it I think, so I can check on it.

I didn't know this about the computer's, but then again, I've never had a Cobra either lol. It did come with the stocker, which I'll be putting back in anyway. Once a PMS is hooked up there won't be a difference. It has been chipped and dyno tuned, by the guy you sold it too Im assuming. Made 229hp 274tq. Stock parts that are missing; stock cat-back, coil, cubby hole under the radio, & air silencer.
Is a turbo & 6 speed not tastefully modded?!?
I don't plan on cutting it up, but already having frame connectors(not a bad thing either) & holes drilled for an aftermarket stereo. I'm not too concerned about it being too nice for more serious mods. My goal is to have a comfortable street car with full interior, radio, A/C ect. I've already done the gutted street/strip Fox builds with my last two, and although they were fast and a lot of fun. I've kind of grown up or out of that faze lol. Having had a 12 Boss 302, which regretfully had to be sold due to financial issues, I'd like something comparable performance wise while keeping it just as comfy.
You wouldn't happen to know where the window sticker is though, would you?

If you want a nice reproduction window sticker, Richard White can help you out.

I never had window sticker..interestingly the guy I bought it from lived in danielson ct. I put a ford CD player out of a 98 contour in it, and still had cubby hole in it. I think the kid I sold it to put an aftermarket stereo. As for subframe connectors I had those professionally installed and painted factory color.
