Teal/??? few mods Need TLC #511 $6k AZ.

Found this poor Cobra parked on the side of someones house in E Mesa. The fuel pump had gone out a year earlier and the elderly owner parked it. I had it towed home with the intention of restoring it. I installed an elcheapo fuel pump and filter to get it running. I have decided it's not the "one" for me.

The interior is in nice condition with only one small hole in the bolster of the drivers seat. The AC blows cold. The car has lowering springs, 3:55 gears, an MM K member brace, and adjustable shocks/struts. There is evidence that a nitrous bracket was once installed in the right rear area of the hatch. The passenger side torque box appears to have been torn/welded. The drivers side has a slight tear/weld repair. Not sure what happened or who repaired it.

The car runs and drives but needs new tires. It appears as though it has had the front two fenders and hood repaired at some point in time. The paint is baked from sitting in the AZ for the last few years. There is no rust. Would be a great candidate for a restoration.

I will post pictures, additional information and a copy of the certificate later today.

I do not need to sell it. Don't need the cash. Am not interested in trades etc... If it sells fine. If not I will park it in my sons shop and he and my grandson can restore it when I die.

Interesting ... a NY odometer Cobra ending up in AZ. Also interesting is that this Cobra (#511 built on 2/17/93) has the later upper intake. Based on our work narrowing down the switch from the early intake to the later intake to 2/18/93 between #553 and #556 (viewtopic.php?f=1&t=4972) and the amount of mods and repairs done to this car, I'm guessing the intake was switched at some point.

Agree DB, for $6k I'd mod it and have fun with....wish it were black. With history that this car has, wonder if it's truly as D6 option car?

The crazy thing is the car has a clean AZ title, obviously for what I paid I knew there was a story but I didn't pull the carfax as I knew I couldn't get hurt either way. I'll tell you with the story this car comes with it is in surprisingly good shape. Original drivetrain, no leaks, a/c is ice cold and runs perfect. It now has 46k miles on it and has had some work completed, still has a little left to bring it back. What do you guys think this car is worth how it sits now?

No, just a strip across the top actually thinking of stripping all tint. It's looks so clean with no tint but I live in AZ. [BLACK SUN WITH RAYS]️

I'd keep it, I prefer my DD cars to be tinted.
