Yes, next weekend is the Grand. I was there in April in my Jeep, I didn't own the Cobra yet.

Don't know of anyone close that could tune it. As far as converting it, might be easier to update the DFI with a newer version since you already have all the GM sensors in place, though the harnesses may have changed? That's a tough call either way IMO, as the cost would probably be the same nay which way you decided to go.
