1993 Black / Black Cobra #3929. V3 with a couple bolt-ons - 63,000 miles and counting....
Re: #3929 during todays cruise
Thanks 93svt! I looked for a Cobra for a long time with lower miles that I could drive and not worry too much about putting miles on the car. Hopefully your A/C blows ice-cold as a black Cobra in AZ has to get pretty hot.93svt#2779 wrote:got yourself a very fine ride there Romo... Which Vortech head unit is that (V1, V2, V3)?
Re: #3929 during todays cruise
It's the new V-3 Self contained oil...1986Browns wrote:Which Vortech head unit is that (V1, V2, V3)?

VERY HOT!! no a/c yet... just trying to get the car running down the road without any problems first. it is most definitely on my to do list, when I have the funds available! a/c and re-tint the windows probably around Jan-Feb after I make some more money. as for now im just getting a few of the smaller more important things out of the way. my daily driver has a/c though (96 chevy S-10). so far my cobra goes mostly on evening cruises or early mornings on my days off. one thing at a time! getting ready to take it in for that alignment this afternoon, not looking forward to this drive as much as usual, its hot out!Romo93 wrote:Thanks 93svt! I know that Vortech markets that head-unit with helical (quiet) cut gears, but do you know if the V3 can be had with the older, louder, straight cut gears? To me that would be the best of both worlds...not having to tap the oil pan for a return line and a loud Vortech whining away under hood!Romo93 wrote:It's the new V-3 Self contained oil...1986Browns wrote:Which Vortech head unit is that (V1, V2, V3)?

I'm about a half hr from you. Ya we definitely gotta meet up. I don't know of any teals near us. There's gotta be tho. And i want a ride in your car! When I bought my chromies my plan was to buy a black. But the red was a split sec deal. Couldn't pass it up. The pics don't do the chrome on red justice. It actually looks better than I thought.

Be careful what you ask for. You may be fairly disappointed in your car's performance after a ride in a supercharged Cobra like that. I've had a handful of buddies not as happy with their performance cars after a blast down the road in my ride.93N8 wrote: And i want a ride in your car!

Not sure, I would call and find out. Mine is on the quiet side but I like that. I had an A-trim back in the day on my 90gt and it was toooo loud, lol.1986Browns wrote:I know that Vortech markets that head-unit with helical (quiet) cut gears, but do you know if the V3 can be had with the older, louder, straight cut gears?
