They are NOS (hard to find motorcraft EMBOSSED) oil filters. And at National car shows, you can loose points for not having one..

Yeah but did they come on the cars when they were new? Just trying to understand why they are so special.

Yea why the need if they didnt come on the car originally which I dont think they did? That would pretty much be like adding points for things that didnt come on the car originally like Ford alarms or mudflaps. I can see them wanting to see an original gray oil filter.

93 cobras came with grey oil filters, but after replacement dealers put these motorcraft embossed filters on. At national shows, they look for the embossment. hence me getting them now to have. thats all.

I never had a new cobra, but I had a new f250 that had the embossed filter painted grey.so just paint those and your good to go!

Ford grey they have it in the engine spray paints, but since the cobra block wasn't painted and the pan and valve covers are black, Im not sure what they had on them?
