If you buy a bone stock Cobra you will be horrified at how slow they are. I own a mini-van that will outrun a stock Fox...
If I were you, I'd be looking for a tastefully modded Cobra. I went from turbo'd coupe to a mildly modded Cobra and couldn't believe how slow it was. However, it was really nice to not have to constantly wrench on the damn thing. Now I'm back in a R-blocked 331ci car and I spend more time laying under it than I do sitting in the driver's seat it seems.

Thanx for the compliment...the wheels are a weird offset roush that I purchased raw and had polished. I know its going to be a big change and everything you said about wrenching is true. I drive my dad's 87 gt vert with 40,ooo kms now and then and find it actually enjoyable. I dont have time to drive my car a ton and it kills me to just let it sit, if I have to let a car sit I would prefer it to be a car that will hold some value. That being said, Id like to keep the coupe and pick-up a cobra.
thanks, it really is a love or hate color. It wasnt my first choice, but it was the cleanest car by far when I was looking for a platform. Its a color that looks a whole lot better in sunlight.

thanks...Ive never heard of the owner of the car recieving a payment. I was approached at a show in Seattle and asked if I was interested, and at the time I wasnt taking it too serious till the photographer emailed me to say he got the green light to do the feature. I think its just cool to see your own car in a mag after reading about all the other foxbodies over the years. The photographer/writer get paid to do the article.
