Do you do car shows (how many a year)? cruises? etc? how do you enjoy your ride?
I haven't shown any of my cars in the past, but I would definitely like to get into showing in the near future. Years ago, we had an all Mustang Club here in El Paso that I was a member of. We would get together almost every weekend for cookouts, cruises and hit the races. Nowadays my work schedule is all over the place, so when I get a chance I just like to go for a cruise here and there.
family history - how you got into this hobby/car collecting?
I was brought up around cars in a Chevy household. My Day owned a 62 Corvette, and a 69 Chevelle SS 396 that he bought brand new. I was a hardcore Chevy guy until I bought my first 93 Cobra.
1993 car info:

1077 Miles (current)
How did you find this 93 cobra and how did you get it home:
I had been wanting to purchase another Black/Black 93 Cobra ever since I sold first Black/Black Cobra and my 04 Cobra to purchase my house in 2008. I started looking for a low mileage Blk/Blk car with no sunroof, CD player, rear window defrost and power seat earlier this year. I was working in up state New York when a 452 mile Cobra with exactly the options I was looking for resurfaced in the For Sale forum. The Cobra was a few hours away from me, so I made the trip down there to check it out. What a beautiful car it was, but it was not stored properly and the condition did not match the price the seller wanted. The search continued.
My assignment in New York was over, so I came home to El Paso. A few week after getting back I was doing my daily search in the 1993 Cobras For Sale Forum when another Cobra pops up with exactly the options I was looking for. This time with 973 miles on it and also in New York. I was within a half mile of this car when I made my trip from New York to El Paso. If it had it just popped up sooner. The deal was made, and I got the car for just about $10K less than the identical 452 mile Cobra that I had seen a few weeks before!
Getting the car from New York to El Paso was an epic nightmare. After contacting dozens of transport companies, two payments, and two months later, my beautiful Cobra was finally delivered. The car is in excellent condition and I couldn't be happier with it. When I bought my fist 93 Cobra in 1999 it was piece of crap, but it was all I could afford. I just kept upgrading my 93's as finances allowed and now I have reached my ultimate goal. My stable is set.
What would be your next car to add to the stable?
I won't be adding anything for while, but you never know. If a nice Teal/Blk popped up, I might be tempted.
Shout-out to members:
Thanks to all the folks that replied to my purchase thread. You all helped to keep my spirits high when I was having so many problems getting the car here. A special thanks to Dan Acevedo who welcomed me into the Mustang Community when I bought my first 93.
