You should see it later later this week.
(41H) is the block heater option. Could you take a picture of the block heater?

Re: #2531
Car has been heavily modified.
Shell up restoration, including new motor. I could pop a freeze plug and install a block heater, but I don't think that is going to make or break the condition of the resto-mod.
I have taken care to keep the look of the car stock. But once you open the hood and see coil on plug ignition & the turbo. I'm not fooling anyone.
But the 10.5" 93 Cobra wheels wrapped in Nitto 315's surprisingly look "sort of" period correct??
But I don't know how to verify if a block heater was installed as stock?
Correct me if I'm wrong, but wouldn't that be a dealer installed option??

Re: #2531
Engine block heater was a factory option not very common on these cars. The original window sticker would tell you if the car came with this option. Also, Brett or admin could run the VIN and give you that info as well as the original dealer.Meegs wrote:But I don't know how to verify if a block heater was installed as stock?

Re: #2531
Interesting!
I don't have the original window sticker. I wonder if a dealer could get me a reprint?
I'm not sure of the original dealer, or how to find that out?
I have paper receipts from the car dating back to 2004. It lived in Texas at that time.
I called SVT and got a certificate and the add book. Kind of neat i guess.

Re: #2531
Based on Brett's post, the only option on this Cobra from the factory was the leather seats. Does this Cobra have all the other options you listed, Meegs?Meegs wrote:

Re: #2531
Disclaimer: this car has lived a "special" life.
57Q: yes it most definitely does. Both hatch & instrument. Have never actually tested to see if it functions as its a fair weather car.
585: it has an aftermarket radio. I based my 585 comment due to the auxiliary power amplifier under passengers seat. Very possible I misspoke??
217: it's a power Opal leather seat. It moves back forward, lumbar and whatnot. I assume that's what 217 is in reference to?
41H: I have recite for 2 engines and I know the current motor has to be at least the third. I have no idea about the stock motor having a block heater or not.

Haha, I don't know and not sure I care that much about defrost & a drivers seat.Z282SLO wrote:Based on Brett's post, the only option on this Cobra from the factory was the leather seats. Does this Cobra have all the other options you listed, Meegs?Meegs wrote:

Sure seems like a lot of work to wire in a rear defrost on a fair weather car. Hatch vin tag matches, so it would be a job to add it later I guess.
The power seat functions, and the wiring is factory. Not sure that even matters as I'm planning to take them out anyway.

Re: #2531
This was the start of the shell up restoration.

This is the factory wiring.

Dynomat then Dynaliner then new Opal ACC mass-back carpet.

New headliner, ford weatherstripping the whole kitchen sink.

10.5" 93 cobra wheels
Ultraglide, GearVendors overdrive, Pro-M EFI coil near plug, EV14 injection.
Rear defrost & power seat? I don't know HaHa!!

Re: #2531
You can always check out your body buck tag, located behind the driver headlight area, stapled to the radiator support this small tag should have the vin number, build date, as well as options.
Re: #2531
I looked for the buck tag in the location you said. I didn't find it. I didn't look to extensively, as there is a lot going on in that area. If it was stapled it was probably history a long time ago.
Don't know what else to say...
I could cut those bolts down. But that would heat up the bolt.
