Not remarkably easy, John. The chassis has to come off, which requires removing a few things to access screws in hidden places. The seat belts retract on springs, and the springs are heat-embossed into the chassis plastic, and they must be removed to take the body off. I've done two, and was able to save the belt function on one, but I fixed the belts stationary on the other. How often are you going to tug the belts anyway, I figured.

The lowering is done by making thin shims out of styrene plastic and sliding them under the screw heads, which act as the suspension stops. I use a tiny bit of super glue, and paint the shims flat black so they cannot be seen. It's reversible if you want to go back to stock, but I won't because it makes the model more realistic.

I think I got the GMP fever, just picked up 4 this week. 2 black, 1 red, and a steeda. Now I just need a cobra r and a teal, that should be easy, haha.

Looks like a got a Teal coming my way. After scouring the Internet I came acress one for about half the price of what they're going for on eBay these days. Found my red and black online too. Just need a corba r now, which is seeming to be more of a task...

Matt

why were you selling your teal, if you just got it?

Not sure where that last line in my previous post came from. I ordered the teal because I am trying to make a set. Sorry redline, that one won't be for sale. Sold the black because I had purchased 2. Willy is right, it is going to help with the purchase if the cobra r. I may know where a red or a black can be picked up if anyone is interested PM me and I'll send you the links. I didn't try to purchase them so I can't guarantee they aren't old links.

Redline, sorry misread your post. The one I got was the last one. And I'm a little disappointed, it came without floor mats.
