Glove Box Surprise, what is it?

Hey Guys, Took my cobra out for a quick ride before the next storm.

Opened the glove box and found this tube with rectangular foam piece dangling. It still connected from one end but the other seems to have come off.

Not sure what it is and what its for. Any Ideas

LoJack antenna, it's a locator system of the car is stolen. Had these on a couple of cars back in the day. Follow the wire and you find the control box, and a couple of wires spliced in.

That foam used to be sticky and was probably stuck above the glove box and just fell down due to age.

Thanks for that info guys, thats the last thing I would have thought, now I'll just maybe get some 3m tape and stick it back in there
