Mike S., I'll look at the rear again, I haven't caught that yet. He didn't have the rear bumper on it at one point, and just before I came he had it on, so it may be hiding something.
Agreed, it won't take much to get it drivable. I'm sure it drives the way it sits.

If I were in your shoes, the only thing I'd consider doing, assuming the option was there, would be to buy the car and every little piece he had to go with it and store it in a friends or family members garage or shop. Then you can work on the car during the summers and breaks during school. This will let you take your time and add funds as they become available.

Of course, this would mean you'd have to have a friend or family member who has a little extra space for the next 4 years.

And as I said before, I'd work on that asking price too. I highly doubt he has anyone as interested as you in the car.

Parent's garage is available right now, I'm just working now, so I have all the time in the world in the afternoons and weekends. I think I have a place I can keep it when I go to school, a co-worker is moving down to the same area, and another has a winter home down there. I'll work on it all summer, tow it down when I move, and just work on it when I have time... That's the plan, at least. I just need to figure out my funding, I guess. Another member on here has already hit me up to buy it if I don't, too.

Well, at least you've got a plan. Just make sure it's realistic and you don't stray from it.

Good luck with whatever you decide. Plenty of help on the boards if you ever need. A few guys have completely gone through a car or two.

Yeah, thanks man. I'm not trying to argue with you, and ignore you. I know it's kinda looking like it. I know you've got your head on straight, and I have Cobra fever. Haha.

No, I didn't think that in any way, shape, or form. I just know that cars can be money pits, and when your constantly turning around and putting money into a car to make it right, it can get really old quick.

If you look at this particular car, it could be a really fun project to do if you take your time. It's not like you have to worry about messing anything up......lol!

I've seen much worse, in terms of body work needed. I wouldn't hesitate to strip a car like that to the bare shell though to bring it back properly.

Yeah, I understand. I see it too. That may be what I do, provided I have the space to do it when I go to school. But, I don't have all the funds ready for it so I think I'm going to have to pass on it, and like I said before, another user on here has already PM'd me to connect him to the seller if I don't buy it. So you still may see this one come back to life in the next couple years. :) Just wish it was me doing the work.

study hard, get a good degree, and then you can afford to buy any car (or cars) you want.

Oh yeah, I passed. It didn't jive with my financial situation and I think my car got jealous cuz now I'm spending all my money replacing parts on it. Haha.
