Cobras Fore Sale
Seems to me that with just under 5000 Cobras made we have had a lot of cars come up for sale.
I have been watching these cars on Ebay for yers and it seems lately we have a car listed almost everyday.
What do you guys think the recent flood of Cobras are all about ?
I for one think this is one of the most desirable year of Cobras being it was the first and only year for the foxbody and #'s are limited.

93 Cobra
I think it is Basically roll around time. People buy these cars in Spurts, and hold on to them for 4 to 5 years then sell them. Now I am not sure about the low mileage 1 owner cars I have seen forsale lately.
Also they made the Cobra in 79, 80 and 81. So not the only Fox body cobra. It just had the most upgrades, and styling ques. I still love a White 81 Cobra with Recaro seat option.

I agree with aaron on why people are selling now. I would say the low mileage one owner cars the owners are just looking to cash out a bit or step up to the bigger better newer Mustang out these days.

Ebay alwasys seemed to float around 10 Cobras for sale at any given week for a long time with many repeat cars. Then it seemed to slack off for a few months, but it seems to back to the previous number of cars available. Then of course you always had the Autotrader stuff, as well as CL.
I think a lot of it has to do with the availibility of all the other newer Mustangs on the market. Termi's are getting pretty cheap and make an ass load of HP stock. You can say the same for the first gen Shelby's too.

Termi is short for the 2003 Cobra aka "The Terminator"
Its the silver one in my singature below.

"Many ask where the name "Terminator" came from. Well, it didn't come from the movie, that's for sure. The Terminator program name is credited to Tom Bochenek, the Cobra program manager. The name actually came from a meeting discussion about the competition the 2003 Cobra might have, in particular the Camaro if it was continued beyond the 2002 model year. The SVT team knew that a supercharged 2003 Cobra would "terminate" the Camaro vs. Mustang war once and for all. So the program name Terminator was chosen."
