Why not? It's pretty much common knowledge in most cases that is how most people deal (price it a little more than your willing to take so you can negotiate, accept offers and make a deal). Not 100% of people are that way but most are. I'm an honest person and not trying to hide anything or make a pile of money here, just looking to give someone a decent deal. I have nothing to hide and will tell anyone who showed serious interest the same thing in a PM. So why not let anyone browsing know what it would take to buy the car? OK, maybe I should put OBO next time. No worries, it's all good.Z282SLO wrote:Frankly, I wouldn't post to the entire registry with regard to your selling strategy.

Thanks, I understand that man LOL. The way things are going it could still be here, seems shipping is killing all those interested. I would have bet the house it was sold two times already until the shipping quotes came into play.goode34 wrote:I think 12.5 is def a fair price. Because you just gave up your ability to make anything more than $12500 for a pretty nice car to any potential buyer reading your posts.AT11 wrote:Z282SLO wrote:Frankly, I wouldn't post to the entire registry with regard to your selling strategy.AT11 wrote:[Why not?

I understand where you're coming from. But any price I list on the forum means I will be happy with it at that price. Not a salesman here looking to read into each buyer and try to work a little more out of some of the more willing, more able, or more interested buyers if you know what I mean. It would be the same price to anyone who sees it and I don't mind that. It would have been the same as editing the price in the original post or simply saying "price has been lowered to $12,500" LOL. If I'm happy with it and the buyer is too thats all that matters right. I completely understand the point though, not trying to say anything bad about the strategy mentioned, just not really my way.Z282SLO wrote:AT11 wrote:Z282SLO wrote:Frankly, I wouldn't post to the entire registry with regard to your selling strategy.Because you just gave up your ability to make anything more than $12500 for a pretty nice car to any potential buyer reading your posts.AT11 wrote:[Why not?

Thanks bud, I am. I always start off by telling anyone that calls me " OK, I may be about to talk you out of buying this car because I am going to mention to you anything and everything I can think of that I don't like about it or bothers me or anything that may be wrong with it." LOL. That way there are no surprises to the buyer, they know exactly what they are getting, they know what to expect and we are both happy. I have bought and sold many this way. Anyone can go to Corral, type in my user name and read the feedback if ever in doubt LOL.vinchez78 wrote:U seem to be honest about ur Cobra , and that's what sells a car like this, a lot of sellers aren't completely honest about what they are selling, again, if I had the funds....

Bad case of car A.D.D. Been buying and selling cars as a hobby since I was 15 years old. Have had 9 '93 Cobras over the years and I keep going back to them. Sold the black one Stiles built because, well, it was black. LOL. I want a red or teal to drive daily.
