Says car is all original, but no comments about the replacement hatch on it, and new rear quarter panel that was installed. Had R-Dot sticker on hatch, and no Vin sticker on RH quarter, Im sure the Rear cover was also replaced, notice the weld on tips for the tail pips. Originals probably got bent. Overall a nice looking driver, But not worth anymore than 13K I would say."

I agree that is is not worthy of $19K, but $13K?? with one with low miles... maybe that's a bit of a stretch.. i would say $14.5K-$15K

Hi,
I am the one handling the sale of this car and I’m going clear up the confusion!

The guy that had the car listed on craigslist is also a friend of the owner, he owns a small car dealership, (2k-4k) type of cars and not his type of clientele. He knew nothing about these cars and wasn’t really trying to sell it, he was just trying to help him out. The car has been just sitting in the back corner of his building for over a year I think. Now about the owner of the car, he is retired and although looking to sell it he is not desperate for money, so these ridiculous comments of the car being worth 13k-14k are crazy!

This car looks amazing and 99% of people out there would never even know that there were repairs done as it looks great and you can see from the pictures!

I must say I have never seen minor paint and body repair get so blown out of proportion! I guarantee you that other cars on this forum have had parts either repaired or repainted and not even told anyone. I know we are all car enthusiasts here and knowledgeable in our own rights but before any keyboard warriors start attacking my judgment and knowledge of repair don’t bother. I have restored plenty of show quality cars over the past 20 years and also owned a paint and bodyshop. I have also have owned over 20+ mustangs and currently own exotics and many other high-end cars Vipers, GTR’s, Shelby’s, etc. Just letting you guys know I’m not some backwoods dumb ass that doesn’t know what he is talking about.

Now about the repairs –
This car has all OEM parts and all are original! The only thing I can’t say for 100% certainty is the bumper cover, if hit I would assume it would have been replaced but no one can say for sure as it is an OEM part? Remember, these cars have stickers for vin.s on the parts and when painted they are either removed or just painted over. This happens all the time and everyone here knows this, so when asking where is this sticker where is that sticker you have your answer, it has paint work done!
How do I know the hatch and the quarters are all original? It’s simple, I looked at it them.

Now granted, the hatches can be trickier to know if replaced but when I had my installer replace the back glass (do to hard water spots and scuffs from the louvers) the original urethane and glass had overspray on them under the molding. Anyone familiar with body and paint knows that the panel has to be painted first before the glass can be installed! The only uncertainty on this car is the bumper cover and if replaced it is OEM and looks great!

Just wanted to clear the air, set the facts straight, and let you guys know that it is a clean car with very minor repair. This is not a 25K-30k mint car but a very affordable driver if you wish, also being one of the last build numbers #4991, it is a bonus!

Thanks for your time and if you have any other questions about the car or need other photos please feel free to call me @ 407-227-9533 or email @ ttaspeedracer@hotmail.com

Maybe that info should be included in the ebay auction. It doesn't state anything about prior damage.

Yes, and anyone that calls about it I can tell them it has had paint work and minor repair. Like I said nothing to hide but needs to be explained accurately!
Plus, one of the pictures on the hatch shows the (R) replacement vin sticker. Most people aren't going to care as much any way as long as the carfax shows clean which it does but of course carfax has not been out that long and is over rated IMO. Remember this is only a 18k driver or weekend car not a 300k car! :D

You just said it yourself! "he doesnt need to sell... but it has been for sale for 3 years" If he was in need of money it would have been gone already! I have had 3 offers just this morning. One is pretty solid but not there yet, FYI

TTLambo,

Taking a guess here, does your username stand for Twin Turbo Lamborghini ?
If so, do you know of Jason 'Heffner Performance' in Florida?

LOL, yes but I'm with the other camp! I'm sure you know which one by saying that.

Update on exhaust

Post by 13GT500 »

Do to the many questions I had on the car today got me crawling underneath it in curiosity to look at the exhaust.

It still has the cats on it with the old school stock H pipe and newer nice aftermarket mufflers. It does sound good! The tips are slip overs with the original tips still inside, it looks ok, that's just a matter of opinion. :?

Although I'm big on build numbers and love this one I don't think a 30k mile car will be bringing $19k with or without body work done, but I'm sure $19k isn't your hard selling price, I'm thinking ballpark $16k maybe a little higher depending on the work which I know you say is great but, just my opinion!

P.s. glad the tips weren't cut, that sucks

I agree on the price it is what one will pay for it. Trying eBay and seeing what happens? Unfortunately the tips are screwed because of the slip overs :(
