Ok, back on topic now :D

Here is the rear brake conversion kit to run a 345x28mm rear rotor with 4 piston Brembo caliper with. This is the kit that I picked up from Brian a Fiveology.

I am excited about getting the brakes on the car. It is going to look bad ass.

I was able to get the wiring run a lot more today but nothing picture worthy. Cleaned the garage a little too. Made a list of things I still need. Amazing how much I still need. :x

I thought I would add some photos from 1999. This was my first modular conversion and one of the first in the country as well. It was more of a drag set up. I ran the car in FFW Modular class until they changed the rules to only allow SN95 cars. That's when I pulled this one apart and built a 98.

Test fitting the motor in for the first time. I used a Tubular K Member for a 96-98 modular car and modified it to work in the Fox Body.

This was one of the first T Trim superchargers ever mounted on a 4.6 as well. There was not even a kit. It used the S Trim kit and had the head unit separate.

The cold air intake came out awesome on this build. One of my favorite items when it came to fabrication (although I didn't weld it). I bought everything from a diesel supply as this is 5" Exhaust tubing.

Image

There were no headers for this build back then either. I got these from Sean Hyland. Again they were for a 96-98. They didn't even clear the Lakewood bellhousing. Had to trim here, cut there, until I got it to fit. Had to modify one header tube to clear the steering shaft. The primaries were 1 7/8" which caused big clearance issues. Ended up pinching some of the tubes down to get it to fit. Nothing like taking a hammer, cut off wheel and a welder to a nice set of ceramic coated headers.

Picture of the Electromotive ignition. It sucked even back then!!! I hated that thing with a passion and trying to find someone to tune it proved almost impossible. Luckily after going to some races I met up with John Mihovetz from Accufab. He is an awesome guy and smoothed out all of my tuning issues as well. He even gave me a lot of pointers on how to do things better on my combination.

Decided to add a custom decal to the car. Thought it was a good idea at the time but never made it out of the garage with them on.

Here is the 4" cowl hood. Totally unnecessary but I thought it looked cool at the time.

The one with the other car in the next lane is Texas Motorplex in Ennis, TX., The shot from the rear is SAR (San Antonio Raceway)

With the coyote motor setup in the cobra, are you going to be able to keep the stock hood or are you going to have to get a cowl hood?

It ran a best of a 10.22 @ 136. It had an easy 9 in it if I didn't have a piece of shit TKO in it. Those things don't shift worth a damn.

As far as the Coyote, it will require a 2.5" cowl hood. I didn't want to have to run one but it is either cowl hood or no supercharger. Supercharger won out!

Don't blame you on that, the build looks to be coming along pretty well, been watching the updates and would like to to see the project finished.

Wow! Great build project, this has to be one of the coolest fox projects in the country.

Cliff notes: I have a Red '93 Cobra and an '03 Cobra vert that I've been considering selling to move to a 2013 GT500 but have decided against because I don't want the car payment and don't want to pay VA locality taxes on a 60k-ish car each year. I had decided on the coyote aluminator swap and then stumbled upon this thread. I've poured over each page of this thread with great interest. Great job so far!

One thing I noticed is that you put on an aftermarket balancer. Be careful here you may have to replace.

http://www.mustang50magazine.com/techar ... ewall.html

Skip past the dyno results for the relevant part. The aftermarket balancer was not compatible with the coyote oil pump shaft and it shattered not once but twice.
