I love my car. Do you love yours?

Post by Naja »

I purchased mine in 1998 with 36K miles for $14K.

I used to drive it daily now it only gets driven every other week.

I decided to mod it. I never want to sell it. It is running great making 532rwhp.

Recently I purchased new headlights, replaced my oil pan gasket and rear main seal.

The only other mods the car could use to complete my project would be: Short Block, Tranny, Rearend, possibly cage, bigger blower, and fresh paint.

I totally adore her and care for her like no other car I have owned. Just wanted to say hello to fellow enthusiasts.

What's your story? Do you love yours?

I had to sell mine since my soon to be ex-wife left me and the kids.

I was left with $90 in the checking account and my paycheck on Friday, car needed to be sold to pay for a lawyer and pay bills, and to keep my kids feed.

I miss it and hate not having it.

Bought mine 5 months ago. Just dropped a Kenne Bell blower on it and going to buy a TwEECer and probably a meth kit. Then I think Ill be done with her. Yes, I love the ol girl...

So, what do you have on your Cobra that makes over 500rwhp?
93 Cobra, Kenne Bell 2.1L, 42# injectors, 76mm C&L MAF and inlet tube, MM sub frames & K-brace, Hurst SST shifter, Moates QuarterHorse, DataQ, BE/EA tuning software, Flowmaster cat backs, Autometer gauges.

Hey big frank, how's that bad-boy run with the KB on it? I'm thinking of pulling out my 388 stroker and putting my 302 back in so I can put the stock hood back on and was thinking of going the KB route. Do you have any pics/vids of your car?

Thanks

I like the Kenne Bell. It won't produce the same amount of HP as a centrifugal will, for the most part, but you will have instant boost at 2000rpm. I'm only running 6psi right now, and I have 263/325 which is low. I think I have an inlet restriction I need to work out. I should be about 300/380 with 6psi. Got a couple of smaller pulleys coming and then will meth kit and tune. What I'm looking for is 350/400 a the wheels. Don't really need more than that as you can't put it to the ground with stock suspension and street tires. It's a street car, not a drag car.

Cool thing is that I have full TQ at 3000rpm right now!

Lots of pics at the link below. Blower pics are in there in another folder as well as my sub frame install.

I've got mixed feelings.

Although mine is higher mileage, its solid. At first, I was going to keep it stock. But things have changed. If I keep this one, I'll do relatively mild mods while at the same time trying to keep it stock looking. (Like a 331 stroker using the stock top end). Since the mileage is up there (89k) mods aren't going to hurt the value (I don't plan on keeping this one forever).

On the other side, I want a '93 that is CLEAN. This one just isn't clean enough for me (I'm being picky). The time and labor I would have to put into this thing could get me a low-mileage one that is already clean. Plus, I would love to have a teal/black combo. That's my favorite color combo.

At this point, I'll probably keep mine the way it is until another '93 in the color combo and price comes along.
