Who stores their car all winter?
Mine gets driven very little, but it does get driven about every month or two in the winter, just to work the flat spots out of the tires.

AWWWWWW, the luxury of living in FL, no snow, salt, or any crap of that nature. Remember cold air makes more power. So I would say no,I dont store it all winter, but it is in the garage every night

I store my Mustangs every winter (when I lived in Chicago and Sioux Falls SD) or when I deploy overseas. Since my cousin own's a Mustang he starts mine up every once and a while. I put in fuel stabilizer and have never had a problem with the fuel.
I did run into a problem and don't know if it is from the car sitting, bad oil, or lack of oil changes but when I first bought the car I pulled off the valve covers, intake, and heads which were all gunked up with jelly like motor oil. I don't know what the previous owner did to cause that.
I now live in Cali and am looking forward to bringing my Cobra here for year around cruising.

Sorry, forgot to log in. Is it best to put the fuel stabilizer in right when you put the car away, or when you begin to drive it again? Is it best on an empty tank it does it not matter?

Fuel Stablizer
I pretty much read the directions to the bottle of fuel stabilizer. The directions say to have a full tank of gas and the bottle said to add so many ounces per gallon. Put in the fuel stabilizer when you first store your car(s). You can find the fuel stabilizer at any auto store.
When I pull my car out of storage I try to run all of that gas out of my tank before a fuel stop. Good luck...

Thanks for the help. This winter has been quite mild so I've been able to run the car weekly and even drive it around the block regularly. So it doesn't appear that I'll need it this winter. Yesterday was 46 degrees. Not your typical January 8 in Chicago. Another question; what do you mean by 'fuel stop'?
